World Menopause Day
Bulletin details
18th October is World Menopause Day; we thought we would use this as an opportunity to highlight what we do in MPA to educate, champion and support women’s health in the workplace.
At MPA, we work with so many incredible women across our healthcare and general team, who bring experience and compassion to their roles every day. We recognise that menopause can bring forth challenges that can affect work-day life- from tiredness to hot flushes, even changes in mood or confidence. This is why raising awareness and showing support in the workplace can make a difference.
Whether it’s offering flexibility, having open conversations, or checking in with a colleague, small actions can make a big difference.
MPA’s Nurse Manager Sandra Docherty has completed accredited training with the British Menopause Society, enabling us to actively support any staff members affected by menopause. At MPA, we’re committed to fostering a positive and open workplace culture, one where we can confidently make reasonable adjustments when needed and ensure our team has access to the right support and resources.
On World Menopause Day, let’s continue to build workplaces that are kind, inclusive, and supportive. Where everyone feels valued, no matter what stage of life they’re in.
If you want to talk to anyone at MPA about a reasonable adjustment to help you deal with the menopause, or any other issue, please let us know.
