Cardiac Sonographer Technical Director
MPA are retained by a leading cardiology clinic group to recruit for a Cardiac Sonographer Technical Director to join their group in Toronto. The client has 6 clinics across Toronto/GTA providing cardiology services with a large Cardiologist team.
In this role, you will work as the Technical Director for Echocardiography, supporting multiple clinics from a clinical and leadership prospective. There are approximately 10 Sonographers that will provide leadership support to, including providing mentorship to junior technologists. The Cardiac Sonographer Technical Director is responsible for the overall technical and operational leadership of sonographers. This includes ensuring clinical excellence, compliance with accreditation standards, oversight of technical staff, workflow optimization, quality assurance, and collaboration with physicians to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality cardiac imaging services.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to cardiac sonographers and technical staff.
- Develop and implement protocols, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure quality and consistency in imaging acquisition and interpretation.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Participate in staff education, training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer.
- Expertise in adult echocardiography (TTE, stress echo)
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
The compensation range goes between $100 to $120k, plus health benefits.
